The "Amazon of Europe" is considered an example of preservation and good care. Its Brazilian sister? Not that much. Which means that associating a highly preserved region with a region that is being destroyed is not currently a compliment. With that in mind, WWF Hungary created a campaign to raise funds to help the recovery of the Amazon Forest and, thus, one day, recover the pride of being called “The Amazon of Europe” again.
#Don’tCallMeAmazon is a global task force led by WWF Hungary that envolves five European WWF offices responsible for the Mura-drava-Danube region, also called “the Amazon of Europe” to protect the largest existing ecosystem in the world from destruction.
